Adrike Schouten is a self-thought artist with a love for realism and pastel. As a child she already had a passion for drawing. Especially horses she made with regular HB pencils and charcoal. This preference for drawing horses can still be seen in her works today. After many years of not touching one pencil, the love for drawing started to grow again in Luanda (Angola). She lived here for a number of years and there she discovered the pastel pencil. And so her passion of painting and drawing  blossomed again. The journey began to achieve (high) realism and drawing in general. Now a few years later, this journey is in full swing.
